I often see much time wasted especially in political debates by people using different definitions of words. Anyone who is for democracy where the people are in control, one could say such people are for anarchy if using the original definition to mean a state of being where there are no rulers, however many will assume anyone who has stated they are for anarchy are for chaos and violence because a popular definition of the word today includes this in the definition. Other words like socialism and feminism lead to similar misunderstandings. Often disagreements are believed to exists due to people having a different mindset when the real reason is more to do with different definitions of words being used and misunderstood and by people developing an emotional attachment to a particular word that prevents them from hearing what the other person is saying.
